Eliminate Stains from Car Floor Mats with Steam Cleaners

Car upholstery and floor mats require special care, as they tend to collect various types of dirt and stains. Floor mats, in particular, can collect mud, dust, pet hair, food particles, and other types of stains. Dirty floor mats look bad and can result in foul odors as well. If the stains are deep but have not spread over the entire mat, steam cleaning machines are the best option to remove them.

Steam cleaning machines use superheated steam (as hot as 386°F) to remove tough stains and dirt from a number of different areas. The dry vapor emitted by these machines, around 5 percent water content, reduces the time amount to dry and helps eliminate the possibility of mold and odors forming. These systems are particularly effective for removing residues from hard surfaces, though they are also highly capable of eliminating spot stains from carpets and upholstery. They are not, however, capable of cleaning entire carpeted or upholstered surfaces.

The sanitizing ability of industrial steam cleaners depends on the temperature of steam, as well as specific anti bacterial technologies of the machines. For example, industrial steam cleaners with HEPA filters do not just absorb particles as small as 0.03 microns in diameter, but also prevent them from being released back into the atmosphere during vacuuming. Machines equipped with anti bacterial technologies can help to eliminate more than 99 percent of disease causing germs that pose serious health risks.

For effective stain removal, you may need to use a detergent in addition to steam. For floor mats, a green carpet cleaner formula is suggested. Leave the green cleaner on the floor mat for a few minutes, and then apply steam on the stained area. You can also inject the green carpet cleaner into the detergent tank of the steam cleaner. Use a detailing brush (nylon brushes are the best for upholstery) to clear the dirt and food particles from the floor mats. If the area cools before you are able to clean the stain, apply more steam. This way, you will not need to apply more pressure than necessary while using the detailing brushes.

To clean the entire carpeted area of vehicles, carpet steam cleaners are suggested. Don't let the name fool you. Carpet steam cleaners are actually heated carpet extractors. They do not attain steam temperatures, but instead reach 210°F for heavy-duty carpet cleaning. These machines use low flow technology to extract stains and dirt from larger carpeted areas, leaving carpets to dry in a minimal amount of time.

Whether you are in the market for car steam cleaners or carpet cleaners, remember to always purchase from a reputable supplier who offers equally sufficient customer support, quality components, power, and versatility.
